You should know just as much, if not more, about your health as your doctor.

Intense lifestyle change is not easy, but many would choose to make lifestyle changes if given the correct information and guidance.  Traditional approaches to treating diabetes and other chronic conditions assume lifestyle change is too hard for most people.  

My philosophy is a little different.

 

While most treatment approaches aim to simply correct symptoms, I aim to address the underlying cause of the symptoms while treating the whole person. 

 

There is no doubt that medication can save lives in certain conditions.   But when it comes to lifestyle related diseases such as diabetes, they do not fix the underlying cause of the disease.  If you are on medication, the goal is to get you on the least amount as safely possible through intense lifestyle modification while working with your physician.  

 

Nutrition does not have to be complicated.

 

Often people get many mixed messages and incorrect information.  There is no one-size-fits all diet. Fads don’t work. I help demystify nutrition, debunk myths, and empower you with the knowledge to know how to nourish your body and give it what it needs (and what it doesn’t) to regain health. 

 

I use a science based approach to nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modification. 

 

I advocate a low carbohydrate, ketogenic approach to treat both type 1 and type 2 diabetes

The “eat less and exercise more” and “watch your sugars” message isn’t effective and often people spend a lifetime trying to follow fad diets, pyramids, portion control, or calorie counting with little success.

 

I can help you learn how to create a lifestyle that fits with your unique biology, medication regimen, and goals so that you that you can regain health, FEEL BETTER, and not completely depend on medications to stay well
